Hartlepool Lifeboat Crew and Officials

Lifeboat crews are on call 24 hours a day 7 days, a week.  At Hartlepool we have 24 people on our boat crews who come from a range of jobs, including Merchant Seamen, Electricians, Joiners, Engineers......

In an emergency, Humber Coastguard will request the launch of a lifeboat, by informing the Lifeboat Operations Manager or his deputies by pager or mobile phone.

The lifeboat crew, other than the full time Station Mechanic, are all volunteers so they have to leave their home lives, jobs or even their beds immediately when the pagers go off.
